- Job Requirements for Senior Lawn Care Technician
- Prior experience in turf care
- 3+ years of lawn care or turf management experience
- Must have TN/GA applicator license to apply for this position
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of turf types and regional lawn care practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- In addition, there are a few additional minimum requirements that are necessary to be considered for this position
- Must be willing to undergo background check and drug screening

- The pay range for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 and is dependent on your experience as a lawncare or landscaping professional
Responsibilities
- The Senior Lawn Technician is a field leader responsible for delivering high-quality lawn care services while driving customer satisfaction, route efficiency, and revenue growth
- This role goes beyond application work—serving as a mentor to technicians, a problem-solver in the field, and a key contributor to upselling services and retaining customers
- You are passionate about serving others, including your crew, the customers, and the community
- Lawn Care Application & Service Delivery
- Perform fertilization, weed control, aeration, overseeding, and specialty treatments (fungus, insects, soil conditioning)
- Diagnose lawn issues (weeds, disease, insects, soil conditions) and recommend solutions
- Ensure accurate, safe, and timely application of all products per label and company standards
- Route Ownership & Efficiency
- Manage and optimize a daily service route
- Maintain high productivity while ensuring quality at each stop
- Track service completion, notes, and recommendations using company CRM
- Customer Experience & Retention
- Communicate clearly with customers about services, expectations, and results
- Address customer concerns professionally and resolve issues in the field when possible
- Build relationships that drive renewals and referrals
- Sales & Upselling
- Identify opportunities to upsell services
- Generate leads and contribute to monthly sales goals
- Educate customers on lawn health and long-term care plans
- Mentor and support junior technicians
- Assist in onboarding and field training
- Set the standard for work ethic, professionalism, and service quality
- Equipment & Safety
- Maintain truck, equipment, and materials in clean and working condition
- Follow all safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations
- Budget vs Actual Performance: Keeping applications profitable is dependent on managing materials and time spent on each visit
- Return Rates: You’ll ensure quality control to make sure it’s rare to ever need to go back to redo a job
- Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service, will keep them coming back
